What is it

By definition, simulation learning involves immersion of a participant in a realistic situation (scenario), created within a physical space (simulator), that replicates a real environment. With this in mind, the ethos at the BLSC is simple: We learn by doing.

The model of learning has a far greater, more immediate impact than traditional training methods.
The success of this type of training has been demonstrated over many years in the aviation and medical industries. For the first time in the Asia Pacific region, this type of technology and training is now available for the building and construction industry – only at the BLSC.

Why

By utilising our state-of-the-art virtual environment, participants don’t just learn from a book. Instead, they can learn from their own actions. They can learn by doing.

Participants are challenged with a variety of tasks, interactions and scenarios like that on a real site and must navigate towards solutions themselves. The virtual environment means that no participant flies under the radar. Everyone is obliged to contribute and participate.

This ensures participants think dynamically about the issues and challenges they are presented with and cannot rely on just the facts alone. More importantly, common sense, lateral thinking and intelligence are required for sensible and logical decisions to be made in a timely manner and to achieve the best solution for each session.
