In this key permanent role, you will manage two teams of technical professionals in the Building and Plumbing business units within Technical and Regulation.
You will provide high level strategic advice, support and technical expertise to the Director, State Building Surveyor, CEO, Board members and leadership team, represent the VBA on committees, oversee the team to ensure best practice and drive change, innovation and business improvements.
Who we are looking for
Extensive experience in developing regulation in a government environment
Significant experience in monitoring and assessing the impact of regulation on industries and consumers
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise, negotiate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders and prepare clear, high level advice and documentation
Strong leader who can manage and foster high performing teams
Current registration as a Building Surveyor (Unlimited) or equivalent experience
Qualification in building surveying, management, engineering, architecture or relevant discipline

Growing Design Built Landscapes is a small residential Landscape Business based in Flinders, on the Mornington Peninsula.
Current position vacant is for a Landscape Apprentice - the applicant could have begun or be a 2nd/3rd year.
Earthworks and Excavation, Paving and Concreting, as well as planting and automated irrigation. All skills would be learnt on the job- happy to fit with flexible hours and tafe. Manual Drivers License a great advantage.
Applicant would need to be confident in Driving a small Light truck as well as having a neat appearance.

-Provide product & technical advice and prepare quotes
-Process customer orders and payments
-Prepare and complete orders for delivery and pickup
-Provide support to the Trade Sales Operations Supervisor
