Consumer Affairs Victoria continues its work with other regulators to inspect building, construction and demolition sites, this time in Geelong and along the Surf Coast to ensure operators are complying with the law.

The Victorian Building Authority, WorkSafe, Energy Safe Victoria, Environment Protection Authority Victoria and Consumer Affairs Victoria collaborate on continuing the Build Aware program.

Build Aware aims to ensure practitioners understand their obligation to comply with building, construction, environment, plumbing, and occupational health and safety laws and regulations. Inspections will be conducted throughout the Geelong region from 20-24 February.

They will be hosting a free breakfast and coffee for those who wish to talk to experts about what they should expect.
