Our courses offer a unique combination of classroom learning, feedback workshops and a simulated building site. Participants assume a site leadership role and are provided with an opportunity to practice and apply newly learnt skills and knowledge.
By definition, simulation learning involves immersion of a participant in a realistic situation (scenario), created within a physical space (simulator), that replicates a real environment. With this in mind, the ethos at the LSC is simple: We learn by doing.
The model of learning has a far greater, more immediate impact than traditional training methods.
The success of this type of training has been demonstrated over many years in the aviation and medical industries. For the first time in the Asia Pacific region, this type of technology and training is now available for the building and construction industry – only at the LSC.
By utilising our state-of-the-art virtual environment, participants don’t just learn from a book. Instead, they can learn from their own actions. They can learn by doing.
Participants are challenged with a variety of tasks, interactions and scenarios like that on a real site and must navigate towards solutions themselves. The virtual environment means that no participant flies under the radar. Everyone is obliged to contribute and participate.
This ensures participants think dynamically about the issues and challenges they are presented with and cannot rely on just the facts alone. More importantly, common sense, lateral thinking and intelligence are required for sensible and logical decisions to be made in a timely manner and to achieve the best solution for each session.
The LSC integrates traditional classroom style learning with
a simulated building site and feedback workshops, providing participants with invaluable experience.
Simulation learning immerses your team to the challenges of
a real building site without the risk of injuries, cost blow outs and delays or defects. This in turn ensures your projects are safer, quicker and more cost effective.
Provides your company with a competitive edge as employees gain much desired onsite construction experience which cannot be learnt in a traditional training forum.
