As you may know WorkSafe will soon be launching the 'myWorkSafe' portal.  This is a new online portal for all WorkSafe transactions with the aim of making it easier and more convenient to interact with WorkSafe.

This technology will be implemented in stages; among the first services available on the new portal is the asbestos removal notification function. As members of the Asbestos Stakeholder Working Group, we wanted to let you know about this change.

How will this affect licensed asbestos removalists?

When myWorkSafe becomes available for online notifications, asbestos removalists will automatically be taken to myWorkSafe instead of the existing portal in Lotus Notes. They will need to create a myWorkSafe account and follow the directions to submit their notification. Asbestos removalists will still be able to submit paper-based notifications.
