The Victoria/NSW border restrictions that were introduced two weeks ago have been updated and tightened. As of midnight Tuesday July 21, all current permits for crossing the border will expire and those wishing to cross the border will need to re-apply.

If you live within the new, stricter, border zone and need to travel across the border for work you can apply for a new permit here. The ability to cross the border has been further limited to those:

  • going to work or attending an education institution if they can’t work or learn from home
  • obtaining medical care, supplies or health services.

For NSW residents travelling beyond the border zone for work, there will need to be a period of self-isolation observed upon return; there may also be self-isolation requirements for your permit while completing your essential services.
