Master Builders Victoria express our support for communities around Australia affected by the devastating fires and our appreciation for the tireless work and courage of the emergency services and military battling the fires and supporting firefighting efforts around the country.

Our Master Builders team continues to contribute in every way that we can; some are actively fighting fires; others are volunteering to assist in various ways. As part of our support effort, we want to let members know that we have been liaising regularly with the Victorian Government and asked that we are kept informed of ways in which we can lend our assistance and support.

In the meantime, with full acknowledgement of the gravity of this situation, please know that Master Builders Association Insurance Services (MBAIS) is ready to help members in any way it can. If you have any insurance-related questions, including contract works policies, direct home or car insurance policies, MBAIS is happy to answer them and available to support members with claims lodgement for any bushfire-related losses.

Master Builders Victoria will continue to serve all members with high levels of customer service and will escalate fire-related enquiries with additional haste by prioritising calls and emails from the areas of Victoria most affected by the bushfires.

As always, in addition to the support that we can offer internally, members can access confidential counselling and support from @Incolink by calling 1300 000 129.

The Victorian Government has partnered with Bendigo Bank and The Salvation Army to establish the Victorian Bushfire Appeal.  The Government has made a $2 million contribution to the Appeal. We encourage our Master Builders community to support this fund. If you would like to donate, you can do so by going to www.vic.gov.au/bushfireappeal.
