The 2019 edition of the National Construction Code (NCC) will include a number of changes and adjustments to the previous (2016) edition. Among the changes are adjustments to quantification, readability, energy efficiency and condensation management. With the new NCC set to be adopted on 1 May 2019, the ABCB has scheduled orientation seminars in Melbourne to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 13 and 14 March.

All practitioners involved with design, approval or the construction of buildings are encouraged to enroll. Presentations will be held in all capital cities and this is your opportunity to hear about BCA-focused changes. Standards Australia will also outline details of changes to Australian Standards that are referenced in the NCC.

At the conclusion of the seminars, webcasts of the seminar, including a video on amendments to NCC Volume Three (PCA), will be released in May 2019.
