The Andrews Government today announced the rezoning of 100,000 lots within two years in ‘key growth corridors’ to help address the need for affordable housing in the state. The lots will comprise 17 new suburbs equipped with the required infrastructure and amenities. The media release also mentions there will be cuts in delays for approvals of new social housing projects.

Minister for Planning Richard Wynne was quoted saying, “We have to make the best of land we already have, and our new inclusionary housing pilot will create up to 100 new social housing homes, helping Victorians in need.”
