MBV have been advised by the Victorian Government that the design and details of the scheme will be finalised very soon.

We have been constantly hassling the Victorian Government to make certain that this fund remains at the top of their agenda.

We have been pushing the urgency of this issue to ensure that we can get our industry this support as soon as possible.

We understand that the criteria will be centred on what we have already released: small businesses with a payroll of up to $10 million who have experienced a 70 per cent or greater reduction in revenue will be eligible for grants of up to $10,000.

The $85 million fund – which was later augmented by an additional $54 million - intends to support small businesses who have not been eligible under current business support funds.

MBV acknowledges that this may be the only financial support that some members are entitled to.

Therefore, MBV are in continuous discussions with the Victorian Government to guarantee that members get the support needed as soon as possible.

MBV knows that the support will not ever be adequate to cover the heavy toll on businesses across Victoria.

The most recent information from the press release can be viewed on the Government's website.
