Members who have fewer than 20 employees under their payroll are advised that from 1 July 2019, the new Single Touch Payroll (STP) system becomes mandatory for the reporting of tax and super information to the ATO. Members have until 30 September 2019 to start reporting.

Members with 20 or more employees should already be using STP.

STP is a way of sending tax and superannuation information to the ATO from your payroll and accounting software each time you pay your employees, allowing for a more streamlined reporting process.

To prepare members for this, Master Builders Victoria is hosting some introductory workshops on Single Touch Payroll presented by the ATO. Please see below for information of the upcoming workshops:

Single Touch Payroll session – introduction workshop – 1.5 hour workshop

Join us for this 90 minute overview session to understand how your payroll tax and super reporting obligations, as an employer, will be streamlined, using Single Touch Payroll from 1st July 2019.
