The Victorian Government is ensuring that people are protected from the hazard of combustible cladding on 200 residential buildings that are most at risk in Victoria.

Cladding Safety Victoria has managed the Government’s $600 million program and works alongside the owners of buildings that are assessed to be most at risk.

Cladding Safety Victoria is offering practical and financial assistance to remove combustible cladding on exterior walls to a non-combustible replacement.

Of the 200 buildings that Cladding Safety Victoria has underway or completed by 30 June, 46 projects have been finished, 154 projects remain in design and construction, and a further 53 buildings will be developed during the rest of this year and have approved funding agreements.

Dan O’Brien, chief executive officer of Cladding Safety Victoria, thanked owners, residents and the extensive number of building experts for their combined efforts in the building projects.

Cladding Safety Victoria believe that working alongside owners of buildings that are most at risk is the best way to lessen the overall risk for members of the Victorian public.
