Event Description
Explore the solutions to building better energy-efficient homes more productively.
The construction industry is often challenged by changing regulations that increase the difficulty of construction and require change. This results in a focus on the barriers to change. In our training sessions, the barriers to change identified are often solved by other people in the room.
In the spirit of this, we plan to gather designers and builders in the same room to explore barriers and develop solutions. A series of short presentations by industry thought leaders will be followed by the opportunity to come together in small groups to explore the barriers to energy-efficient homes and improved productivity.
Themes to be explored
• Is building 7 Star really that hard?
• How do you control those extra costs?
• What role do designers play?
• What role do builders play?
• What have you found to be difficult or expensive to do?
• What do you worry about?
• What do you want to find out more about?
• What tips and tricks can you offer as solutions?
