About the winning project

This house was originally built in the late 19th century and then significantly altered in the 1990s. Robert Simeoni Architects were keen to reuse as much of the existing structure as possible whilst creating a renewed purpose to the overall sense of space, and the house as a whole. Two late Victorian houses have been combined into an elegant family home for a couple with adult children. Integrating the best of the past with the present, there’s a magical journey through the spaces, accented with soft lighting that animates both clients’ collections of family portraits, furniture and sculptures
