About the winning project

The project at Beechworth Secondary College involved the transformation of outdated facilities, particularly the school gym, bringing it into the 21st century. The scope of work included the demolition of obsolete structures, making way for an all-inclusive, gender-neutral and DDA-compliant facility. The project also featured a newly designed entrance with an automated opener for improved accessibility. The interior was adorned with a distinctive ply lining, adding a stylish architectural touch to the overall design. The roofing structure to the change room was replaced while the roofing to the gym required new sheeting to prevent further leaks. The entire project adhered to Shelter In Place compliance guidelines, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
