About the winning project

It was time for these “empty nesters” to downsize from their acreage to a low-maintenance chic modern home in a central location. The existing house on the site was demolished, and a four-bedroom, triple garage, extremely stylish and liveable home was designed. Externally, the home has industrial vibes through the use of recycled bricks and corrugated cladding. Internally, skillion-style roofs create impact, interest, and the perfect north-facing roof panes to maximise solar panels. The interior has a sleek contemporary feel boasting clean lines throughout – the use of raked ceilings, square set cornices and large expanses of glass are the perfect elements to create a simplistic but modern home environment.
