About the winning project

This project was designed to increase the size of the home and utilise the segregated footprint better to create a flowing, modernised floor plan. Originally built on a farm in a different location, the home was transported to its current location in the 1970s. The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home required updating to better suit their family needs. The extension included taking out the back of the home and existing kitchen, family, laundry and extending out to include a new large kitchen complete with a huge butler’s pantry, walk-in linen closet, meals, living, study nook and laundry/mud room. The existing spaces were reconfigured to create flowing family spaces and an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe off the master bedroom.
