About the winning project

This exciting project transformed a heritage-listed building into a dynamic and collaborative workspace while preserving its historical significance. The conservation management plan guided the design, resulting in the exposure of the building’s impressive structure and integration of original features. The renovated building now serves as a cutting-edge teaching facility, offering state-of-the-art amenities for students. An extension was constructed between the wings, incorporating a lift, lunch room, and additional teaching facilities. The interior boasts seven versatile classrooms, research rooms, content recording pods, and a reception/admin area. S.J. Weir utilised advanced construction, communication, and safety systems, along with modern information delivery platforms, to successfully support this remarkable project
