About the winning project
The house was designed and built on an 800sq m residential block on a well-established street of traditional style homes. The two-storey home was designed to have a standout presence while ensuring privacy was not lost for the owners or neighbours. Floor-to-ceiling glass runs along the north side of the home with a zero-threshold finish from the internal dwelling, creating a seamless flow to the outdoor living space. The monochrome finish to the external of the home creates a modern and sleek finish that is eye-catching and sophisticated, even slightly minimalist in its west-facing street view.
