About the winning project
The brief for the design was to build a fully off grid modern family home which is aesthetically pleasing and takes full advantage of the surrounding tranquil valley. This was designed specifically to frame the stunning view. The main concept involved creating distinctive areas for the parents and the children, while also incorporating areas for everyone to come together, such as the cosy theatre room which brings the whole family together. This room features a rammed earth wall, adding a natural element to the build. The quality of the home is evident as soon as you pull in to the driveway due to the attention to detail throughout the build.
