About the winning project
Health and safety on the M2 stage 5 expansion works project was integral, not only because of the high-risk nature of activities on the project but also because the works were undertaken within a live data centre. Multiple safety initiatives were implemented, going above minimum industry standards such as 6-points of PPE with the addition of ‘longs and longs’. Kapitol adapted online systems and employee and subcontractor induction methodology to enable new processes and procedures that exceeded safety standards.
