About the winning project
The project involved the demolition of the existing single level terminal building, and construction of a new terminal building across two floors. The roof structure involved a very detailed structural steel design, which included 20m long cantilevers at either end of the building. The project was completed adjacent to the Australia’s busiest vehicle ferry service, and Kane had to ensure that the ferries remained fully operational at all times.
