About the winning project
The modern facade of the Lighthouse was designed with street appeal in mind. The courtyard is visible from most rooms throughout the home, helping to bathe the home in natural light, giving the home its name. The central courtyard plays an equal role in connecting and separating the spaces throughout the home. Large sliding doors to the courtyard and backyard can be opened from the master bedroom and living rooms to allow traffic, sound, and air to flow through. Likewise, these doors can be closed for privacy and a peaceful retreat. Beauty, light and function were key to this design.
