About the winning project
This project was designed to renovate and extend an existing home. The house was transformed both inside and out, and unused space was claimed to extend the footprint of the building and extend the internal living space, complete with luxury finishing and dramatic lighting. The ground floor received a new entry foyer that opens into a dramatic light box, housing a steel and blackbutt staircase and flooring. The downstairs bedroom also received more space with the addition of an ensuite, and a laundry and utility room were relocated from an awkward space previously upstairs, along with a powder room and water closet.
