About the winning project
The clients wanted to create a high-end architectural extension to their existing inner city cottage home. The proposed extension comprised three storeys on a site with tight access, high traffic flow and overhead powerlines located at the front. Two levels were designed to provide the clients a blend of living and entertaining spaces for close family and friends to enjoy. The third storey was a dedicated zone for entertainment. This level was also required to capture 360-degree views of the township with the ability to read the time on the two iconic town clocks, not to mention a viewing point for watching the sun go down over the horizon.
