About the winning project
The design of the Barrabool Residence was undertaken by Watson Young Architects who approached this new project from the inside-out and from the outside-in. The care and consideration in the delivering of this project outlined exceptional finishes not just in their form but also in their function, right down to an alfresco area overlooking a custom concrete pool with infinity edge. The design team utilised the natural surroundings of rolling hills to enhance the best outcome of liveability, encapsulating the peaceful surroundings of the 100-acre property, and bringing into scale the active horse arena and stables loved by the clients.
