About the winning project
The house, as per the covenant, had to be 70% brickwork which was bagged and painted white. The builder also incorporated white linea weatherboards and Surf Mist aluminium windows to give the house a beachy feel. The house sits on top of a concrete waffle pod slab. Engineered oak flooring was installed throughout the kitchen, living, hallway and entry. The bathrooms are all tiled to full height and include some wet area VJ panelling which really offsets the tile. The two skylights over the kitchen let even more light into the north-facing sun-drenched living room.
