About the winning project

The owners wanted to create a light-filled white beach house with a north facing living room/kitchen and northern yard for a growing faming. The high ceilings throughout the whole house make all the spaces feel quite large, especially the ceiling in the master and the living room/kitchen, which features parallel scissor trusses, which really give the space extra wow. The design of the home had to take into consideration the town’s storm water cannot always keep up in heavy rain and this area of town is subject to flooding, which was expertly incorporated, while delivering a home with high-end finishes and attention to detail, within the client’s budget.
