About the winning project
The Western Park Netball Facilities Redevelopment project consisted of reconstruction and realignment of the two netball courts, and construction of a 244sq m pavilion with compliant female friendly netball player and umpire amenities. The existing courts were side by side and were no longer compliant to current Netball Vic requirements for run off and surround dimensions. The reconstructed ensured both were compliant and met all required standards to enable use for competitions and there were sufficient and compliant facilities for users, including spectator movement corridors and spectator seating. Supporting infrastructure included new competition standard LED sports lights for netball, new fencing, drainage, bollards, and concrete path works.
