These practical workshops will help you to achieve the new 6 star requirements more easily and cost effectively. |
Monday, 1 Feb 2010Just over 420 people have now completed the Green Living Training. Information received from Master Builder Green Living Builders from annual reports completed as part of the reaccreditation process indicates that this covers 6830 sites that are not polluting the environment. 89 of these projects have fitted solar panels. This translates to the saving of 213 tonnes of the Greenhouse gas, Carbon Dioxide or 4.3 million black balloons. Other results show that 97 per cent of sites are recycling 69 per cent of their waste. A positive result no matter how you look at it. |

At the completion of the current course, just over 400 people will have completed the Green Living course. Saturday, 1 Nov 2008Master Builder Green Living welcomes its 200th participant Green Living has passed another important milestone with the 200th person completing the Green Living program. Currently 72 per cent of people who have completed the course are registered as accredited Master Builder Green Living Builders and have made a commitment to environmentally friendly construction. |

Tuesday, 1 Apr 2008Beginning from the 1st of May all alteration and relocation work that requires a building permit is subject to the new energy efficiency laws. The laws apply to the thermal performance of a home (a 5 Star energy rating for the external walls, floors and roofs of your home) and do not require a solar hot water system or a rainwater tank for toilet flushing, as is the case with a new home. These changes bring Victoria in line with national standards. |

Another 20 Green Living builders were trained by Philip in Perth, who had to drag himself away from a Melbourne winter. He then had to drag himself back to Melbourne (that was the hard part) to deliver another Green Living course this Friday July 14th. |
