PDFFriday, 11 May 2018Nathan Blair, a carpentry apprentice from Romsey, enjoyed a double victory tonight with honours from Master Builders Victoria naming him both State Apprentice of the Year and Metropolitan Apprentice of the Year for 2018. Blair received his dual awards at a ceremony in front of an audience crowd of more than 850 guests at Etihad Stadium in Docklands. He won nearly $4000 worth of tools, work wear and vouchers for his achievement.

“This action suggests the Government understands the importance of the building and construction sector to Victoria’s economy,” Mr de Silva said. “Our sector’s contribution cannot be understated—we are the largest full-time employer in Victoria and taxation from property and land transfers still accounts for more than 45 per cent of the government’s revenue—demonstrating just how important building is for our state.

PDFThursday, 22 Mar 2018Bannockburn carpentry apprentice Kieran Cope was tonight named Master Builders Geelong Section Apprentice of the Year at Simonds Stadium.

Kieran was among four apprentices from the Geelong region to be awarded for their dedication, skill and hard work.

The other three winners were Employer-nominated winner Digby Watson from Grovedale, Chairman’s Award winner Peter Currie from Bell Park and Diploma Student of the Year Joao Ricardo Do Carmo Delgadinho from Newcombe.
PDFWednesday, 21 Mar 2018Port Fairy carpentry apprentice Daniel Nicholson was tonight named Master Builders Western Section Apprentice of the Year at The Carmichael.

Daniel was one of two apprentices from the western region to receive awards for their dedication, skill and hard work. The other apprentice was Chairman’s Award winner Stewart McCann from Barongarook.
